LIVE Webcast: “Why Were You Born?”

Hundreds of guests have signed up for the United Church of God’s first “Why Were You Born?” seminar to be held in Cincinnati, Ohio, at 7:30 p.m. EDT on Wednesday, September 10, at the Holiday Inn Eastgate. Plans are to expand the series across the United States as funds allow.
After advertising the event on Time Warner Cable, Pandora Internet radio, through e-mail campaigns and through online advertising, the Church is now expecting a good turnout for this special event featuring San Antonio and Austin, Texas, pastor and Beyond Today television host, Gary Petty.

If you are not in Cincinnati, you can still join Gary Petty for this seminar live via webcast. The presentation will also be archived on the Church’s website.
Mr. Petty will ask his audience, “What’s your purpose in life?” The question comes when we least expect it. When we’re dazzled by the spectacle of a star-filled sky. Or when we gaze into the innocent eyes of a newborn child. Or when we’re in crisis and all seems lost. The Bible says you were created in the very image of God. What does that mean? The answer can change your life.

I certainly hope I am mistaken, but it appears to me that only exceptionally determined people will be able to discover what TIME this is scheduled on Sept. 10. It seems to be absent in all the ads I am seeing.

Praise our wonderful Lord Jesus Christ! May He graciously cause some at the Holiday Inn to just come in to see what it’s all about, some others to just happen on the internet link tomorrow, and yet many others to find the presentation on YouTube over the coming days and months and years! To Christ and our Father go all the praise and honor and glory for the fruit of this public outreach. Amen.
I am praying and fasting for the success of this event. I know that God isn’t finished calling people to the truth, so I want to make sure that I do all I can to help make the United Church of God the type of church God would want to have new people attend. That would include being a good example and one who encourages others. I feel God has led us to this point and it makes me very happy that we are finally taking the Gospel of the Kingdom of God to the world in force. May God bless the efforts tonight and all future such activities.

My wife and I have just finished watching this live presentation on this Wednesday evening and it was wonderful ! At times it was breath-taking for me. A great beginning for an audience not associated with God’s Church. I also loved the interviews on the street ! The amount of time spent by Gary Petty explaining this question was very appropriate as crowds today seem to lose their train of thought fairly quickly. He didn’t choke them to death with too much info. May God grant His Church growth. Even if only one person repented of going their own way the angels in heaven would rejoice. Well done !
