Babylon the Great

December 3, 2014

The Cincinnati East, Ohio, congregation of the United Church of God (UCG) is continuing its new Bible study series titled “End-time Prophecy 101” on Wednesday, December 3, at the time of 7 p.m. ET and it is available live via webcast.

Darris McNeely, a presenter on Beyond Today and associate UCG media producer, will cover the third part of this series with, “Babylon the Great.”

The Bible shows us Babylon was a city, an empire and the personification of all that opposes the plan and purpose of God. The Book of Revelation shows an end-time global manifestation of this age-long system. It will be Satan’s final masterpiece of deception. What do the people of God need to understand about Babylon in order to “come out of her” and take no part in her sins (Revelation 18:4)? Join us in this fascinating look at “Babylon the Great.”

Join us for this series on the basics of end time prophecy. We’ll examine important prophecies that could have significant impact on your life. By delving into a study of God’s Word, we’ll find what a tremendous benefit and blessing it is to understand Bible prophecy!
Here is the schedule for the remainder of the prophecy series:

December 3, 2014: “Babylon the Great” – Darris McNeely
  • December 17, 2014: “The Two Witnesses” – Steve Myers

  1. In II Thes. 2:3-12, which happens in the Spiritual Temple(I Cor.3:16-17)which becomes defiled by allowing a man to take the place of Christ as head of the true Church(Matt.24:15)and Antichrist is “sitting in the Temple of God, showing himself that he is God”(Isa.14:13-14)and as Paul says in II Thes.2 and I Tim.4:1, the apostasy takes place because we put our faith in the man, instead of allowing God to do His works in us
