Beyond Today Television on the WORD Network

WORD Network Contract Completion

Beyond Today Logo - low resThe Beyond Today television program, produced by the United Church of God, began airing December 25, 2011, on the WORD Network. Since then, we have received nearly 7,600 responses from WORD Network viewers in the United States and many countries around the globe.

Although we have appreciated our relationship with the network, we completed our contract this past Thursday, January 30, 2014. The reason we will no longer air on WORD is that we have noted a steady increase in our cost per response over the past several months. Besides this, since we recently contracted with the ION Television network for a nationwide airtime test, we believe this would be a better expenditure of available funds.

Even though Beyond Today will no longer be seen on the WORD network we do encourage you to watch our weekly program on the ION and WGN America television networks in the United States.

Beyond Today on ION Television

For the ION network on cable, Beyond Today airs each Sunday at 9:00 a.m. Eastern and Pacific time, and at 8:00 a.m. Central and Mountain. For satellite (DISH 216 and DirecTV 305) our program airs at 9:00 a.m. Eastern, 8:00 a.m. Central, 7:00 a.m. Mountain and 6:00 a.m. Pacific. To find the ION channel locations in your area, visit www.iontelevision.com and click on “Channel Finder” located on the top right corner of the webpage. Enter your zip code and it will provide the channel number(s) on which you can view ION television. Please note, Beyond Today is not airing in all cities where ION has a broadcast outlet, but we have contracted for 27 over-the-air stations.

Beyond Today on WGN America

Beyond Today also airs on WGN America on Sundays at 8:30 a.m. Eastern, 7:30 a.m. Central, 6:30 a.m. Mountain and 5:30 a.m. Pacific. Please visit the WGN America website to find a station in your area. Insert your zip code in the “Channel Finder” box at the top of the website. Click on the triangle next to the zip code box to view a list of WGN America stations available to you.

Additionally, all programs can be viewed on-demand on dedicated Beyond Today television channels on Roku, YouTube, Vimeo, Wii and Xbox. Thank you for your unwavering support and prayers for our media efforts throughout the world.

  1. Because we are so close to the tribulation starting, and the fulfillment of so many prophecies already, we should take this expanded broadcast opportunity and really preach strong specific messages on Beyond Today. Direct preaching on subjects such as homosexual evil, abortion (child murder), sex before marriage, law breaking by government officials, and so on. We need to remember what Herbert Armstrong taught us, be direct, look people in the eye, and tell them to stop sinning.

  3. I checked Ion to confirm airing/show times for Sunday and the listings on Ion’s website don’t start until 11:00 a.m., consequently, Beyond Today was not listed. I will see if I can view it this Sunday.
