“Beyond Today” TV – Continuing Effectiveness of WGN America

November 8, 2011

Beyond Today television programs continue producing noteworthy results. For example, “Egypt in Bible Prophecy” hosted by Darris McNeely which aired on Sunday, October 30, 2011, attracted 1,169 responses. This is the second highest responding program since our second annual contract began with superstation WGN America on July 10, 2011.

Currently holding the top results-generating position for this period is “Who is the Antichrist?” hosted by Steve Myers, which aired on Sunday, September 25, 2011. This episode logged an excellent 1,173 responses.

Also, our Canadian office reported this week that several new records were set with last week’s program, “Egypt in Bible Prophecy.” Beyond Today airs on the Vision and Grace television networks in Canada. Interestingly, this program also set a few records when it first aired in the beginning of April 2011 when 200 responses were recorded including a record 156 telephone responses.

But this time, the program brought in a record 184 telephone responses and a record total of 235 responses—which is excellent for our Canadian work. Prophecy, it appears, is a topic on the minds of many viewers.

We are pleased to report that WGN America continues to provide a powerful and effective means of reaching a large and receptive television audience throughout the United States and parts of Canada. We sincerely seek your persistent prayers for God’s vital blessings not only on our television efforts, but all the other means the United Church of God is employing to preach the good news of God’s Kingdom around the globe.

  1. How exciting, it is such a blessing to have this avenue. I especially enjoy the shows format and how professional it is done. I have seen similar programs where there is all sorts of distracting backgrounds and/or flashing websites.

  2. The BT program and it’s growing positive impact on a lost world is truely a spiritual life saver for those called of God during these difficult times in God’s Church. It is the one bright spot we can all look to for encouragement. I’m very proud of the work you in the media department are doing and hope you will keep it up! Just remember, it’s God who gives the increase and we can only pray He rewards our efforts as He forgives our shortcomings.
