“Beyond Today” On Air in Brisbane, Australia

November 2, 2011

We are pleased to announce that the Beyond Today television program will be airing every Sunday morning at 7.30 a.m. through November, December and January on Brisbane’s community television station: Brisbane 31 Digital (Channel 44) .

Early Sunday morning is not only a good time slot, but the season of year will also work in our favour, as Christmas and Easter are both times when even nominal Christians are thinking more about religious matters in Australia.

This channel reaches approximately 600,000 people in the Brisbane, Queensland area. Many of our members in Brisbane are very excited about this venture and we are hoping and praying that the name of the United Church of God will not only become better known, but that people will be convicted by what they hear and see.

We would like to ask for prayers for this new media initiative. If we get a favourable response, UCG-Australia intends to expand its UCG television presence in Australia.

There is certainly some fine material available and the Beyond Today presenters and the media team do a wonderful job.

  1. What a great and wonderful door God has opened. May we each give thanks and continue in prayer for this new venue in preaching the gospel so that a door may also be opened for an increase in laborers for God’s harvest to walk through.

  3. Great…yes, that is very good and hopefully it will be worth continuing after the trial. Well done to those who made this possible on the Australian council and at the Home Office.

  4. Great news; God is blessing the United Church of God because it continues to look to God, not man, for solutions to any problem or issue.

  6. My husband, our son, and I were able to get the cybercast from Bend/Remond feast site. It was the first time in our church history that we were not able to attend the feast. (since 1968). It was so good to be able to get the services every day. We felt we were a part of it that way. Our thanks go to all those who have worked so hard to take care of those who cannot attend the feast. What a blessing it is to be in God’s Church.

  7. We, as God’s sheep, must NEVER forget what Y’shua said when He cried out, proclaiming, “Why, when I came (fthe first time), was there no man? Why, when I called, was there none to answer? Is My hand shortened at all that it cannot redeem? Or do I have no power to deliver…?” (Isaiah 50:2-11). Y’shua then proclaims his GREATNESS, HIS POWER and HIS MIGHT – then He proclaims that it was HIS and OUR ABBA who gives Him His STRENGTH – HIS UNDERSTANDING – He TRUSTED and RELIED in His and our Abba for EVERYTHING – I tell you the truth, unless we, as His people, do the same – WE WILL NOT PROSPER IN HIS WORK. He, through Y’shua, will do a GREAT WORK in us if we humble ourselves and let HIM work mightily in us through Y’shua, our Abba’s Great Shepherd. KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK AND KEEP THE VISION OF THE KINGDOM OF GOD AS IF YOU COULD REACH OUT AND TOUCH IT. In the spirit of our Abba, your brother in Christ.

  8. I would love to be able to see Beyond Today on television here in country NSW. It’s nice to see the program expanding.
Thank you for making it easier for those of us who cannot make it to Sabbath services to be nourished each week. I sure appreciate it!
