UCG Plans 2011 Feast Sermon Video
May 5, 2011
United Church of God president, Dennis Luker, held a meeting with staff today to begin plans for the 2011 Feast of Tabernacles sermon video. The video will be played at UCG Feast sites around the globe during the Feast in October. You can view all 16 previous Feast sermon videos online here.
Exciting themes and ideas were presented by the eleven employees in the conference room, plus two on phone hookup. As discussion ensued, many inspiring examples of our brethren “stepping up to the plate” to serve the Church were talked about. Some of these examples may make it into the final video.
Everybody has a role to play in God’s Church, and we are seeing that more and more in the United Church of God. Our wonderful people are showing what it means to serve as Christ serves. We are all part of God’s Temple, the spiritual body of Christ. We must continue to have a humble attitude of service to others, because eventually, as pictured by the Feast of Tabernacles, we will serve all of mankind and help them to understand God’s wonderful plan of salvation.
The video may also show some of what God is doing through us to preach the gospel and care for the brethren. At the top of the list is our success on television of recent months, and our concentrated effort to provide a pastor for all our congregations.
We are all connected as the family of God. Please pray for the success of this year’s Feast sermon video, and that these preliminary plans will sprout into a very inspiring and beneficial video presentation for our brethren at the Feast of Tabernacles.
