[The following message was sent to all UCG elders and home office staff.]

October 20, 2010

Dear Fellow Ministers,

I gave a sermon last Sabbath to be played in all congregations by the end of October. The title is, “Fiery Trials and the Testing of our Faith.” I pray this message will be helpful and motivating.

The sermon is 51 minutes in length and is available on our sermon video page for viewing and downloading in several formats at . Simply download it onto a laptop computer to play at services or burn it to a DVD. A hi-res MPEG-4 version is included as well as other file sizes and types. We have included a link to instructions for converting the sermon for burning onto a DVD.

Thank you for your faithful service to the brethren,

Dennis Luker—President

  2. Dear Dennis, after listening to this post, as your previous ones – I’m left guilty wondering, if I and the membership will be and are the cause of the “Fiery Trials and Testing”
of the current ongoing events-happening within the ministerial administration…? Paul

    • No, Paul, you’re not responsible for sins committed by anyone but yourself and no one else is responsible for any sins you may commit. We are ALL the cause of the fiery trials that are (and will be) coming upon us. We will suffer trials as individuals, as a nation, as a church…the world itself will experience these fiery trials as God separates those who truly love and obey Him from those who don’t.

The administration is going through trials, but the membership is not to blame. We do not control the administration. The ministers and administration are dealing with serious issues and God will resolve them. The membership is NOT responsible for that.

  5. We need to have a conference with all parties involved, discuss issues and resolve them; like in Acts 15.

  7. I have noticed that there have not been any updates on the financial situation of the church. Typically there is always an update a week or two after the feast going over the offerings from the Fall Holydays along with the attendance. When is this information going to be available? Thank you.

    • Sam, I have noticed in the past that the financial report is usually in the November edition of the United News.
