Sermon From President for Congregations

[The following memo was sent to the UCGIA ministry on August 9, 2010]

Dear Fellow Ministers,

I recorded a sermon last week for you to play for the brethren at your convenience. The title is, “God’s Sovereignty in the Church and Our Personal Lives.” The message is 46 minutes in length.

It is available on our sermon video page for viewing or download in several formats. Simply download it onto a laptop computer to play at services or burn to a DVD.

I trust it will be a helpful and encouraging message.

Thank you for your faithful service to the brethren,

Dennis Luker—President

  1. En virtud de lo que sucede actualmente en America Latina, urge que los sermones tengan traduccion al idioma español.-Gracias.-

    • The above comment is saying that, in view of what is happening in Latin America, it is urgent that sermons be translated into Spanish. I would hope that this has already been done and that the Spanish version of the sermon is available on the Spanish version of this site. With things in such a state, our Latin American brothers and sisters shouldn’t have to ask for something that, under any circumstances, should be considered common courtesy.

      • It will be done as it has always been done.
The complete translation will be available very soon!
        Count on it! 🙂

    • completamente de acuerdo contigo Fito! necesitamos los sermones doblados al espanol. Aqui hay mucha confusion debido a la barrera del idioma. Y los hermanos merecen escuchar LAS DOS PARTES de la historia

Totally agree with you Fito! wee need those sermons translated into spanish as soon as possible. There is too much distrub and confusion due to the languagae barrier fact and the brethren deserve to listen to BOTH SIDES of this story

  4. Just finished listening to the sermon “GOD’S SOVEREIGNTY IN THE CHURCH AND OUR PERSONAL LIVES”. My heart and spirit within me was enlarged because of your tender spirit and your humility and the fruits of the spirit were self evident as being communicated through the earnestness of your sermon and your measure of faith went before you to the glory of the Son of man and to the glory of our Father who called you so many years ago. All of us, as Firstfruits, remembers when the veil and the covering cast was lifted from our minds and the spirit of our Father and of His Christ led us and guided us into truth – led us in ways and paths that we had not previously known. The Church has been blessed with so much truth which the Son of man has shared with us. The sovereignty of the Son of man is sure – He proclaims His glory for He is great in Might, Power and Strength and He will ever lead His people and hold our hands as we submit to Him. Thank you and those faithful ministers who do not seek their own glory but do seek the glory of our Father and of the Son of man. The Father does seek His own glory and He judges among the Firstfruits – I pray, that, we too, can with Godly confidence and boldness, proclaim through faith, trust, reliance and commitment, as Jesus did, “I have glorified You on the earth, I have FINISHED the WORK which You gave Me to do (John 17:4).” May our Father and His King’s settled peace unite us in the spirit of oneness, as they are one, and may the Son of man glorify His and our Father in the Church that we may be richly blessed in spirit.
