  2. Roy, thank you so much for communicating this letter of encouragemnt to the brethren as the upcoming Feast of Pentecost draws near. Our Father’s Holy Spirit and His love and peace within us, His Firstfruits, truly does produce the fruits of unity within His Church when exercised individually with purpose and vision of our High Calling, as His love and peace within us esteems everyone better than our ownselves and is a lover of counsel as iron sharpens iron and we know that by His Spirit which He has given to us we are pursuaded of not only of the glory of what and who we are to become in the Ages to Come but that our service of love through our Father and His Holy One will extend to all humanity not only when the Son of Man returns but also in the Great Second Resurrection, and then, we the Firstfruits, as kings will bring our glory and honor into the New Jerusalem when our Father comes down to live with us and all of His then glorified children, humanity, then made immortal,in His Kingdom. The world MUST know of the import of the two prophets also called: the two olive trees/the two olive branches/the two witnesses/the two anointed ones and the two candlesticks who stand beside the Lord of the whole earth. I firmly believe that the first four Trumpets will be performed by the aforementioned prophets as they will have power to shut up the heavens for those 3-1/2 years, all green grass will be burnt up, 1/3 of the trees also will be burnt up, many forest and grass fires will occur. The prophets will have power to turn water into blood – on a greater scale than what Moses and Aaron performed in Egypt as Christ is warning the world through His prophets that He is returning and humanity must repent. 1/3rd of the oceans will be turned to blood. 1/3rd of the rivers and fountain of waters will be turned to bitterness and then 1/3rd of the sun, moon and stars will not shine for a third part thereof – I can see that it would not be impossible at all for God to perform these plagues through them – I don’t know why I got on this subject – thank you so much for your dedication in Christ and our Father and to the brethren.

  3. Mr. Holladay!!! I am a former member from the W.W.Church of God, when Mr. Dennis was our Pastor. My Question to you is, why do you still keep the Old Covenant Festivals, like the Days of Unleavened Bread naming one??? The Old Covenant which also includes the Sabbath was a Covenant for the Jewish People mainly. Exodus 34:27-28 and in
Exodus 31:16 :Therefore the children of Israel shall keep the Sabbath to observe the Sabbath, throughout their generation as a perpetual covenant.
    verse 17
It is a sign between Me and the children of Israel.
We however are in the New Covenant in
Luke 22:20 ….:This is the new covenant in My blood, which is shed for you.
Then Jesus gave us the Great Commandment in
    Math. 22:37-40
He also magnified the Law and made it Spiritual. It is not only by the letter of the Law, but by every thought we think…the road now is very steep, and few will find it…these are Jesus words…. can we believe them???? I do, how about you??? Will you keep on telling the Brethren to keep the Sabbath, even though we never were under it??? It is a sign for all the Jewish People and not us. No we are not the Spirtual Isrealites…if you think that, what about Jesus, don’t you want to believe Him. I do…… Good luck and have a nice day……

    • I’m glad you asked, Irene, because these are good questions, and they demand an answer!

UCG has invested a great deal of time and energy into researching these issues and providing answers in the most complete and accurate way possible. These are big spiritual issues, and it would do them injustice to try to discuss them in soundbytes here. I personally just reread, which I highly recommend for answering your questions on how the Sabbath relates to the Covenants.

I’d also suggest you look into the following resources:
      God’s Holy Day Plan
The New Covenant: Does It Abolish God’s Law?

I believe you can find the in-depth answers to every issue you raised in these three resources.

  5. The letter noted the various people groups who heard the Gospel in Acts 2.

I know UCG does its work in many languages today — but it would be great to see a work in the Arab and Muslim world, as Acts 2:10-11 mention. Those areas need the Gospel, too.

  6. Ob course Mr. Richard, Arab and Muslim world need the Gospel, as many others around the world. But, UCG can only make that can only do well.
